SLI Systems Celebrates 45% Growth in UK E-Commerce Industry
Site search leader increases London team by 25%
LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM – 9 October 2014 – SLI Systems (SLI.NZ), an e-commerce acceleration provider for mid- to large-size e-commerce vendors and Internet retailers worldwide, and an innovator in site search technology, announced 45% annual recurring revenue (ARR) growth in the UK and a 25% increase in staff. In addition, the company announced it has secured dozens of clients this year including fashion brands Jigsaw and French Connection, luxury jeweller Fabergé, and real estate group Harrods Estates.
The ARR milestone, as noted in SLI’s recent Annual Report, and employee growth convey the positive momentum the company is experiencing in the UK e-commerce industry and reveal how SLI’s market-leading, site-search technology accelerates sales on internet retailers’ sites.
Beyond financial and employee growth, SLI augmented its product portfolio with two new offerings in 2014:
- SLI Learning Recommendations – launched Feb 19, 2014, gives e-commerce companies a way to offer highly appealing product suggestions to online visitors based on shopper behaviour on their site. The contextually relevant recommendations, based on SLI’s Learning Search site search solution, provide valuable cross-sell and up-sell opportunities.
- SLI Dynamic Product Banners – announced June 17, 2014, automatically displays merchandising banners from e-commerce product pages, with items related to visitors’ search phrases, on external sites. Visitors (arriving from organic search or paid ads) are shown products related to their original search intent on the retailer’s website. This encourages visitors to stay on the site and complete a purchase.
“SLI set up offices in London in 2005 as we foresaw a tremendous opportunity for our site search solutions in the burgeoning UK e-commerce market,” said SLI CEO, Shaun Ryan. “Our decision has been validated via the securement of brand name customers, increased market share, and new business opportunities. In fact, it is rewarding to see, the Online Retail Association Group (IRMG) reveal in an Internet Retailing article that UK shoppers spent £91billion online in 2013 – and are expected to spend £107billion by the close of 2014.”
By offering break though site-search products for the e-commerce industry along with top-calibre engineering and customer success teams, SLI is able to support the rapidly growing needs of renowned Internet retailers and brands in the UK. Also, with more robust employee teams, SLI can continue to assure the fast and flexible deployment of its solutions to new clients while retaining its customer centric and proactive reputation among current clients.
